Individual Freedom

Libertarianism is a political philosophy centered on the importance of individual liberty. Due to this focus on individual liberty “A libertarian can be ‘socially conservative’ or ‘socially progressive,’ urban or rural, religious or not, a teetotaler or a drinker, married or single."

I, a conservative Baptist white male, can be a libertarian with a liberal atheist African female. We can coexist and believe in the same principle of freedom. We can have a different moral stance on what individuals should do when it comes to belief, but we can still co-exist under the banner of "Liberty advocates".

An example of this is me. I used to be an atheist. I could have been libertarian then just as much as I am now. This is why the principle of Liberty is a centrist political stance. We can all (except for the socialist) come under one roof and say yes and amen to Liberty for all. Even though in our hearts and minds we are thinking of different liberties that should be defended.
